Are there opportunities to volunteer at Austin City Limits?
Austin Parks Foundation (APF), the presenting partner of Austin City Limits Music Festival, is once again recruiting volunteers to promote its mission and fulfill team roles for the festival's signature greening programs, including 'Rock & Recycle,' 'Divert It!,' 'Hydration Stations' and the reusable cups program. The program is focused on environmental stewardship and sustainable initiatives.
This year, APF is expanding its role at the fest and opportunities to volunteer include: 'Austin Kiddie Limits', 'Greeters', 'Media Team', 'Volunteer HQ', and 'Backup'. All volunteers get to enjoy the festival before or after their shift the weekends of Oct. 7 and Oct. 14.
More about the programs:
Austin Parks Foundation is the presenting partner on the various greening programs including: Rock & Recycle encourages festival attendees to pick up a bag of recyclables from the grounds in exchange for a specially designed ACL Fest line-up tee. Divert It! enlists volunteers to encourage and educate fans by helping them compost, recycle and send less waste to landfills. And Hydration Stations encourages fans to bring reusable water bottles to reduce waste. APF will additionally be educating fans on how they can win prizes by using a TURN reusable cup!
Guest Services-focused teams Austin Kiddie Limits, Greeters, and Media Team ensure a smooth experience by festival-goers. Austin Kiddie Limits provides an area for ACL's youngest fans to enjoy the festival. Greeters facilitate the smooth entry and exit to the festival and guide patrons around the park. Media team supports members of the media in their work at the festival. And support teams Volunteer HQ and Backup focuses on getting the volunteers checked in and prepared for their shifts and providing extra help whenever they may need it.
These programs are made possible by a team of hundreds of volunteers. Volunteers spread the word about our mission and encourage fans to get involved. APF encourages everyone 18 years and older to apply.
